スペインの血を受けて生まれ、フランスに育ち、英国のミューズを伴侶とし、
いま、アメリカを故郷としています。
私は長年、自身の人生の旅路を紡ぐ舞台作品――
「航海（ヴォヤージュ）」を創り上げることを夢見てきました。
舞台は、物語と歌、映像のキャンバスとなり、観客を、ひとつの旅路へと導きます。
人生という唯一無二の美は、それぞれに異なりながらも、普遍の歩みを抱いています。
悲しみも、喜びも、それはすべての人に共通するものなのです。

ジャン・レノは、国際的に高い評価を受けるフランスの俳優である。モロッコ・カサブランカにてスペイン人の両親のもとに生まれ、フランスで育つ。舞台俳優としてキャリアを開始し、その後、映画監督リュック・ベッソンとの長年にわたる協働により国際的な知名度を確立した。代表作には『レオン』『ニキータ』『グラン・ブルー』などがある。
フランス映画とハリウッド双方で活躍し、『WASABI』『ミッション：インポッシブル』『RONIN』『GODZILLA ゴジラ』『ピンク・パンサー』ほか、多彩なジャンルの作品に出演。深みのある声と力強い存在感、抑制の効いた感情表現により、世界的に最も認知され、信頼を集める俳優の一人として確固たる地位を築いている。
近年は小説『Emma（エマ）』を発表し、同作は16言語に翻訳され、日本語版も刊行された。あわせて、国際的な社会貢献活動にも積極的に取り組んでおり、日本では非営利団体「ノーベル・サスティナブル子供親善大使」と「ユナイテッド・ワールド・スクールズ」をサポートしている。

Jean Reno, a celebrated French actor renowned for his commanding presence and remarkable range, was born in Casablanca to Spanish parents and raised in France. He began his career as a theater actor before attaining international fame through his long-standing collaboration with director Luc Besson. Notable films from this partnership include Léon: The Professional, Nikita, and The Big Blue. Reno has successfully bridged French cinema and Hollywood, appearing in a diverse range of films, including action, drama and comedy, movies like Wasabi, Mission Impossible, Ronin, Godzilla, The Pink Panther, … His deep voice, strong physicality, and ability to convey quiet emotion have established him as one of international’s most recognizable and respected screen actors. Recently, he authored a novel titled “Emma", which has been translated into 16 languages, including most recently, Japanese. Throughout his travels, Reno has always prioritized giving back to his communities and actively works with various non-profit organizations. One such organization in Japan is called “Nobel Kids’ Goodwill Ambassador” and “United World Schools”.

ABOUT THE PROJECT

モロッコ・カサブランカに生まれ、フランス、アメリカと世界を渡り歩きながら数多の人生の重みを背負ってきた名優ジャン・レノ。自ら「僕の人生はらくだのようだ」と語る彼の歩みを辿る、自叙伝的舞台作品が日本にて創作・上演されます。

本作では、彼の人生に深い影響を刻んだ出会いや出来事を、出演映画の記憶と重ね合わせながら、その半生を音楽と物語で鮮やかに描き出します。そこに浮かび上がるのは、俳優ジャン・レノと彼が出会ってきた人々との精神の交歓の軌跡。演技のみならず、その歌声までも披露される本作は、スクリーンでは決して触れることのできない、新たなジャン・レノの芸術的真価を体感させる特別な舞台です。

俳優としての原点へ立ち返るため、あえて母国を離れ、言語も文化も異なる日本という地で、親密かつミニマムな舞台に立つジャン・レノ。世界的名優が自らのすべてを注ぎ込み、人生そのものを舞台芸術へと昇華させる――比類なきステージが、ここに誕生します。異文化の空間だからこそ浮かび上がる表現の核心と、人間ジャン・レノの真実。その瞬間に立ち会える、またとない舞台にどうぞご期待ください。

演出はフランス演劇界を牽引するラディスラス・ショラー

演出を務めるのは、2024年に名作『レ・ミゼラブル』をシャトレ座で演出し、2025年のモリエール賞（ミュージカル部門）を受賞するなど、フランス演劇界を牽引しているラディスラス・ショラー。東京芸術劇場では、日常に根ざした人間の心の機微を鋭く描き出すフランスの小説家・劇作家フロリアン・ゼレールが手掛けた家族をテーマにした三部作『Le Père父』（2019年）、『Le Fils 息子』（2021年／2024年）、『La Mère 母』（2024年）を演出。2025年には同じくフロリアン・ゼレール作『飛び立つ前に』（橋爪功主演）の日本初演も成功を収めました。

また、自身の俳優人生を作品として紡ぐジャン・レノと共にステージに立つのは、パリを拠点に活動している音楽家パブロ・ランティ。現代的で柔軟な音楽表現として高く評価されるパブロのピアノ演奏が、ジャン・レノの歌や語りを支えます。

本プロジェクトは、ジャン・レノ×ラディスラス・ショラー、そして日本人スタッフによる共同制作で、東京から文化を発信していく、国際舞台芸術プロジェクトです。

1975年、フランス・サンテティエンヌ生まれ。演出家、映画監督。マルセイユで俳優としてキャリアをスタートし、マルセイユ国立劇場ラ・クリエで演出助手を務めたのち、ボーヴェ劇場でボーマルシェやアヌイ作品を手がけ注目を集める。 2009年、ピエール・レスキュールの招きによりマリニー劇場でイスラエル・ホロヴィッツ作『とても親愛なるマティルド』を演出。その後も話題作を次々と発表し、『Résiste（レジスト）』『Oliver Twist（オリヴァー・ツイスト）』でモリエール賞を受賞。日本では東京芸術劇場にて、フロリアン・ゼレール作『Le Père（父）』『La Mère（母）』『Le Fils（息子）』『飛び立つ前に』を演出し、高い評価を得る。さらに、2023年の『モリエール・アーバン・オペラ』、2024年の『レ・ミゼラブル』でも大きな反響を呼ぶなど、現代劇からミュージカル、映画まで幅広く活躍。現代フランス演劇界を代表する演出家の一人である。『モリエール・アーバン・オペラ』は中国でも上演され、今後はカナダ・ケベックにて本演出による『レ・ミゼラブル』の上演が予定されている。

Born in 1975 in Saint-Étienne, France, he is a stage director and film director. He began his career as an actor in Marseille and later worked as an assistant director at La Criée, the National Theatre of Marseille. He subsequently gained attention at the Théâtre de Beauvais, where he staged works by Beaumarchais and Jean Anouilh.

In 2009, at the invitation of Pierre Lescure, he directed My Dear Mathilde by Israel Horovitz at the Théâtre Marigny. He continued to present a series of notable productions and received the Molière Award for Résiste and Oliver Twist. In Japan, he directed Florian Zeller’s plays Le Père (The Father), La Mère (The Mother), Le Fils (The Son), and The Height of the Storm at the Tokyo Metropolitan Theatre, earning high acclaim.

He has also received major recognition for productions such as Molière, l’Opéra Urbain in 2023 and Les Misérables in 2024. Active across contemporary drama, musicals, and film, he is considered one of the leading directors of the contemporary French theatre scene.

Molière, l’Opéra Urbain has also been staged in China, and a production of Les Misérables directed by him is scheduled to be presented in Quebec, Canada.

Pablo Lanty is a musician, composer, and arranger. Born into a long family lineage of musicians, he began learning the piano at a very young age.

He has accompanied numerous artists on stage, on tour, and on television — including Ed Sheeran, Vianney, Élodie Frégé, Zazie, among many others — and notably joined Renaud on his major tour that began in 2023.

Creative and curious by nature, Pablo Lanty also composes music for television (documentaries and advertising for M6, Canal+, Adidas, etc.). He also writes for the theatre, collaborating with artists such as Ibrahim Maalouf, Jean-Paul Rouve, and Joey Starr, and co-writes songs with several performers.
